An unfortunate update to the below story. Due to concerns over the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus, the WACA have made a decision, in line with CA recommendations, to cancel all remaining games for the 2019/20 season. Therefore the upcoming fixtures mentioned below which now not take place. Whilst this is disappointing for all players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, members and supporters of the Club, the Club understands and supports the decision taken.
After at times a gripping weekend of cricket, 4 SCC Teams have made it through to the semi-final stage of the competition. Again let's get behind all Teams this weekend as they fight to get into their respective Grand Finals.
Inspired bowling from Lance Morris with able support from AJ Tye, Jake Westphal-Groves and Lochie Tyler on Sunday saw the 1's through to play Joondalup at Abbett East this weekend.
A hundred from Nathan Hutchison and three wickets from Ryan Knight was the catalyst for the 2's win and sees them pitted against Willetton at Abbett West this weekend.
50 from Sean O'Callaghan and 46 from Kealey Farrant was the foundation for a moderate score of 161 which was more than enough as Fremantle collapsed to be all out for 57 with all bowlers used sharing the honours. The lads now take on Bayswater Morley at Hillcrest this weekend.
A brilliant hundred from Kai Hay saw the U15's reach 9/222 against Perth. All the bowlers then got to task and restricted Perth to 9/137 with wickets to Cooper Bartlett, Kai Hay, Adam Hill, Joel Hall and the skipper Ethan Tsapazi. Our boys now take on Midland Guildford this Saturday. The venue for this fixture will be announced shortly.
Unfortunately our U17 team were not able to get past Midland Guildford on Saturday due to a game winning 155no from their captain Calan Hill. In reply, 8 of the batters got into double figures but the task was too great and we bowed out after a great season from our U17 Team.
