Annual Past Players a Success
Date of Event : Tue Oct 16, 2018 2:37PM

The Annual Past Players day was another great success with more than 50 past players gathering at the Peter Wearne Pavilion to not only watch the 1st Grade in action but to also enjoy the delightful bbq'ing skills of David Bloxsome and Nick Gastev and to reminisce about season's past. No doubt there are more runs scored and wickets taken with each passing year.

The day was also highlighted for two sporting reasons

  1. The 1st Grade taking the result against Bayswater Morley in a thriller by 1 run.
  2. 25 Golfers participating in the Annual Golf Day. Congratulations to the following winners
    • Overall Winner Jerry Goodhew with 35 points
    • Second Jack Heron with 34 points
    • Third  Colin Langer with 32 points
    • Longest Drives Steve Rushforth and Troy Ramshaw. It should be noted that it must have been the only fairway Troy hit all day as he also picked up the tea towel award.

Thanks to Peter Wearne and John Davis for the organisation, to our Chefs for the bbq and to Lake Karrinyup Country Club for looking after the Golfers.

Good to have so many Past Players return to the Club.
